Board Member

Jimmy S. Olguin

Jimmy Olguin born and raised in Southern California, has coached travel baseball for the better part of 20 years. He has been a Senior Loan Mortgage broker for 20 years with an emphasis on a win/win situation for all his clients. He has used his platform to raise money for underprivileged kids. He served as a Vice president for the Cardinal Fund Non-Profit in Montebello, California from 2014 to 2016. The organization raised funds for tuition assistance for student-athletes especially international Latin kids. Jimmy Co-Founder of the Synergy Foundation has helped lead the way in creating funding and organizing events for multi-sport camps for all ages and levels across all of Southern California and extending to Latin America.

Rhonda Stelzer

Rhonda Stelzer was born and raised in the South Bay. A native to Southern California, Rhonda is an expert both in the field of real estate and housing market of Los Angeles. Rhonda works earnestly to provide outstanding service and communication to meet her client's needs with strong core values of integrity and honesty. Rhonda directs her foremost attention to her clients by utilizing her skills as a top-notch negotiator and strategist.

Rhonda worked for Universal Music Group for 12 years as an executive in the marketing department. Follow her tenure to UME, Rhonda moved to Chicago for four years before returning to Los Angeles and obtaining her real estate license.  Rhonda is married with two boys Jake and Owen; she has a passion for helping under privileged kids get the same opportunity for success through academics and sports.

Armando Tam

Armando has spent his life achieving his personal and professional goals using what he calls "Achieving Dopeness" mindset.

Armando, of Chinese Nicaraguan heritage, immigrated to the United States at a young age. He watched his mother and father sacrifice and work tirelessly to ensure their 3 sons were given an opportunity for a better quality of life. Armando credit mom and pops for instilling in him at a young age, the values of God, humility and hard work-no free handouts. Armando's parents sparked in him the idea that it is okay to dream big as long as you understand the dedication and commitment needed to achieve your goals. 

Armando's passions have always centered around business and culture identity. His relentless pursuit of his dreams has allowed him to own his own real estate brokerage firm,  perform with Will Smith, collaborate with celebrity chefs like Douglas Rodriguez, become part of the senior management at San Diego based NAHREP (National Association of Hispanic Real Estate Professionals).

Dan Tran

Born and raised in the San Gabriel Valley, Dan is Vice President at Fidelity Title Company. He actively manages the business of sales pipeline to ensure account executives are expanding relationships with profitable accounts between Los Angeles and San Diego. He continues to develop and implement a sales program to achieve goals for growth of new and existing business in assigned geographical areas. He is a graduate of Azusa Pacific University with a Bachelor of Science in organizational leadership earning accolades Cum Laude Honors and Sigma Tau Delta.

Dan has a passion for youth development as he has seen over the years the need for mentorship through sports and education.  

Board Advisor

Gary Acosta

Co- Founder and CEO of San Diego based NAHREP


NAHREP is the largest Hispanic business organization with over 40,000 members and 100 local chapters. in his capacity as CEO of NAHREP, he created the Hispanic Wealth Project, a 501c3 non profit organization with a strategic plan to triple Hispanic household wealth by 2024. Mr. Acosta served on the Consumer Advisory Board  (CAB) of the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB), the regulator for financial services industry. He served as 2014 chairman of the CAB mortgage committee. 


The Mortgage Bankers Association of America awarded him with the prestigious "investing in Communities" annual award. REALTOR Magazine named him one of the 25 most influential people in real estate, and Hispanic Business Magazine named him one of the 100 most influential Hispanics in America. Mr. Acosta is a former member of the board of directors of the Mortgage Bankers Association of America. He has also served on advisory boards for several Fortune 500 companies including Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, and JP Morgan Chase. Mr. Acosta grew up in Montebello, California and received his education from the University of California at San Diego and Pomona College, where he played Varsity basketball for future Hall of Fame Coach, Gregg Popovich. Gary Acosta serves as an advisor to the Synergy Foundation Board, he writes widely read blogs on the economy, politics, sports and Latino culture. Mr. Acosta lives with his family in San Diego, California. 

Board Advisor

Marisa Calderon

Marisa is the Executive Director of the NCRC's Community Development Fund, and a housing and financial services industry veteran. Calderon has been ranked on the Swanepoel Power 200 as one of the most powerful leaders in the residential real estate industry. She was also named one of the Housingwires 2018 Women of Influence for her work in increasing real estate and mortgage professionals' understanding and appreciation of the Hispanic home buying power. Marisa is a former athlete that understands the correlation of education, sports and the lack of opportunity in minority communities. She lives in San Diego and serves as an advisor to the Synergy Foundation Board.
